Calpeda are an Italian manufacturer of domestic and industrial centrifugal, peripheral, self-priming, submersible, borehole, circulator, gear and multistage pumps. They have been producing pumps since 1959 and have now grown to become one of the market leaders.
Their pumps are cast, machined and assembled at their own foundry and Factory in Vicenza. They manufacturer their pumps in various materials, including; brass, bronze, cast iron and stainless steel to suit a wide range of applications. All their pumps are 100% wet tested before being shipped to ensure the best quality.

What spare parts do you supply?
We supply all parts associated with Calpeda domestic and industrial centrifugal pumps, peripheral pumps, self-priming pumps, submersible pumps, borehole pumps and multistage pumps, these include; impellers, shafts, mechanical seals, casings, o-rings and gaskets. Any parts labelled on the drawing and parts list are available for purchase, either individually or as part of a kit.
How do I identify what spare parts I need for my pump?
The pump needs to be disassembled and inspected as part of a maintenance program to correctly identify any damaged parts. The drawing and parts list then need to be viewed to find the correct part description and position number.
What information do you require to provide a quotation for spare parts?
The basic information required to obtain a quotation includes; the pump model number, serial number if available, description or name of the part and the position number of the part if available. This information allows us to correctly identify the parts required and to identify the correct materials

Secondary Mechanical seal Grundfos
Secondary seals grundfos consist of rubber parts such as O-rings or bellows, used to avoid leakage between the shaft and the rotating seal ring as well as between the stationary seat and the pump housing.
To minimise leakage, the rotating seal ring must be pressed against the seat. Therefore the rotating seal ring must be able to move axially on the shaft. To obtain axial flexibility, the secondary seal must either be a bellows or an O-ring sliding on the shaft.
The secondary seal that seals between the rotating seal ring and the shaft rotates together with the shaft. The secondary seal that seals between seat and pump housing is static. See fig. 1.7.
